We offer two options for field trips during the fall. The first is called Sibert’s Fall Field Trip and is packed full of hands-on learning made fun!
The second option is called Sibert’s Little Pumpkins. This is great for groups wanting to only go through the pumpkin patch and play area/ farm animals at their own pace.

Sibert’s Fall Field Trip
Our fall field trips will begin September 26 through October 30. Field trips last approximately 3 hours and groups are welcome to bring a packed lunch to enjoy on the farm once your field trip is completed.
Sibert’s fall field trips provide hands on learning activities in four fun stations.
Station A: Seed to Table
Students will learn the importance of farming to the community. Students will learn the importance of eating healthy and how they can grow their own herbs to use in cooking.
Students will learn about several types of pollinators in zone 6, the importance of pollinators to farming, and why we should care for them.
Students will learn about the life cycle of the Monarch butterfly. They will learn how it migrates across our region during the months of September and October, pollinating flowers like those on a basil plant when it flowers.
Students will learn the life cycle of a basil plant as they plant a basil seed that they can take home to care for, watch grow, and one day use the leaves on their food.
Station B: Pick a Pumpkin
Students will learn about the various types of pumpkins we grow.
Students will learn the life cycle of a pumpkin, the parts of a pumpkin, and the various uses of pumpkins.
Students will learn how to properly pick a pumpkin.
Students will go into the field to choose their pumpkin. Students may choose whatever size pumpkin they can carry. (Pumpkins are not included for staff and chaperones; however, each class will receive 1 class pumpkin.)
Station C: Farm Animals
Students will learn about the various kinds of farm animals on Sibert's Farm, including what they like to eat and how we take care of them.
Students are welcome to pet the animals and feed the animals with feed provided by Sibert's Farm. Animal feed is included in the field trip price.
Station D: Free Play
Students will have fun playing with a variety of activities within our play area.
Pricing
Staff: Free (includes one pumpkin per class and animal feed to feed the animals)
Students: $10 per child (includes one pumpkin of any size, per paying child)
Chaperones: $7 per adult (does not include a pumpkin)

Sibert's Little Pumpkins 〰️
Sibert’s Little Pumpkins is great for the younger ones and groups not wanting an instructional field trip. This field trip is for groups of 8 or more. This field trip option includes a wagon ride, the pumpkin patch, the farm animals, and the play area. Each child will get to pick a pumpkin to take home (any size they can carry.) Pumpkins are not included for the staff and chaperones. Feel free to bring a packed lunch to eat at the farm.

Children $6 (includes one pumpkin from the field of any size)
