Get to Know the Sibert Family
Growing up on the farm, Matt Sibert learned the family business from his grandfather, Albert L. Myers. For over forty years, Albert farmed the land and built a successful wholesale produce business. Matt learned gardening skills from his grandfather Harold E. Sibert Sr., who planted a beautiful garden every summer on the farm. The combination of farming, running a produce business, and gardening instilled a passion for working the land and a vision of having his own fruit and vegetable business.
Matt Sibert established Sibert’s Farm Fresh Produce LLC. in 2020. Working full-time for CSX railroad, Matt Sibert devotes all of his spare time to the 75-acre farm located in Martinsburg, WV. The family run business is operated by Matt, along with his wife Leighan, and their son Colton who is learning the family business. What began as a fruit and vegetable wagon has expanded into wagon rides, a five-acre corn maze, petting zoo and play area for fall family fun. They are now offering birthday parties, field trips, and events on the farm. The Sibert’s family mission is to keep farming alive in Berkeley County, WV and provide the local community with farm fresh produce.
